Bratislava: Away trip Europa League 2nd round

Short July 2019 Update: ŠK Slovan Bratislava

UCD AFC continue their journey in Europe and UCD AFC Supporters want as many UCD Fans there as possible.  We’ve created this short guide based on convenient Airports for Bratislava city.  The routings are based on flying one OUT and one RET flight from Dublin (DUB) to selected Airports, with Fans who are on a budget and short on time. Fans can land in one Airport and fly back from another.

As Bratislava is a centrally located European capital, transport services should be excellent even from far away.  Fans should consider overnight or day Train transport from other European centres.

Alternatively, UCD fans could book two flights to a convenient Airport or use the match as part of their Inter-rail summer holiday. We welcome as much info as possible from fans familar with the area. But there’s still time to book a flight and see this game. For any queries or advice contact: ucdsupporters@gmail.com or fb: UCD AFC Supporters or Twitter: @UCDFANS

Be sure to pass on the guide to as many UCD Fans and interested Fans as you can.  This is an ideal chance to watch UCD in Europe!

All UCD Fans intended to attend the game should contact UCD AFC Media Officer Conor McCarthy Email: conor.mc-carthy.1@ucdconnect.ie with the numbers in their group, as UCD have to provide our hosts with a reasonable estimate of numbers of Away Fans.

  1. 2015: UCD, Irish football Fans went to the game. Our small group of approximately 50 included three German Fans studying at Heidelberg University who traveled to the 1st round game at Dudelange and promised themselves that if UCD progressed they would travel to Bratislava. Therre was also Irish football fans based in Bratislava and Vienna who came to the game.
UCD went down 1-0 to ten man SK Slovan, but it was a brilliant experience for everyone involved.

Three private Bratislava bus operators were contacted.
