Planning the away trip
These small notes below may be a help to any UCD Fans hoping to travel to the Away game in Dudelange, Luxembourg. They are designed for Fans who are primarily using Dublin (DUB) airport, travelling out and back over a short of period of time, using one Outward and one Return flight and have a small budget.
Fans could also travel out to one airport and return from another, use Belfast (BFS), Cork (ORK) or any other Irish Airport as one of the legs of the trip. A fan could book two flights (e.g. thru a London airport) to land in a convenient airport.
Alternatively to give more options, use the football match as part of their wider Inter-Rail travel for a few weeks, travelling a few days before and/or staying on in Europe after the game. Finally UCD Fans living in Europe and elsewhere will be coming to the game too.
Remember as a search help to use the Airport three-letter code.

Dublin Airport (DUB)
Destinations and Airlines
We can see that there are several Airports which will suit UCD Fans travelling. Be advised to check for transport directly from Airport to Luxembourg city or Dudelange. There may not be a need to go into the city that the airport services. The Airports below are not in any ranking order. (because of the positive result in Dublin the Supporters Club will be updating some airline prices over the next few days. But none of the prices shown here is guaranteed to be the final payment. A published high price may reduce at a later date).

[Tues 30th June] Feedback from Fans travelling are taking different options. One popular route is DUB – Charleroi with Ryanair and renting a car or travelling by bus to Luxembourg City.
(UCD SC doesn’t recommend this but the timing is there) Day of game: DUB – LUX with Luxair (LG) on Thurs 09th July: DUB 13:20 LUX 16:05. €147.81 atm one way. With no checked luggage and a taxi 30 km to ground for the 18:00 ko it’s a huge risk. Squeeky bum time for the entire journey. Luxair have reduced their price on seats for Wed 08th but Fri 10th is now prohibitive price

It’s likely most fans will pass through Luxembourg City to change for Dudelange. But keep in mind there may be some direct land routes to Dudelange.
www.Delux-express.de Bus originates in Berlin, stops at several Train Stations after Frankfurt Airport
BRU – getting to/from Brussels Zaventem Airport
The Train Option from Paris is terrible for travel on one day. There is alot of changes, incld between rail stations in Paris. Unless a UCD Fan over-nights in Paris which is less tiring with Paris to look around. Or takes a very fast TGV from Paris Est to Luxembourg which will cost approx. €200 return.

Pass these guides onto any UCD Fans who may be interested in travelling to the Away game. Thanks for everybody’s support for UCD AFC. Come on You Boys in Blue!!!
