We have reached the midway point of the Airtricity League Premier Division season. UCD AFC had a reasonable start with a win over Drogheda Utd in the first game and an away draw against Galway Utd., relegation fears were allayed early in the campaign. Then a purple patch with three home wins in a row over Drogheda Utd., Sligo Rovers and Galway Utd. things really started to look up and a comfortable mid-table spot was surely on the cards.
But the signs were there that UCD needed to be at the top of their form to keep pace with the teams on mid-table. And a slump has now hit the team with our seventh Premier Division defeat in a row.
What can the side do to change things around?
Will this run of defeats continue?
